Qualcomm's Government Technologies (QGOV) division develops special products based on its wireless terrestrial and satellite communication technologies for the military, federal, local, and foreign governments. In this role as a Cyber Security Engineer, you will work on an Information Security and Risk Management team dedicated to securing Qualcomm's Government business unit. In addition, you'll have the opportunity to work with cutting edge tools and grow your skills across the entire spectrum of Cyber Security while proactively protecting, shielding and defending the business unit from cyber threats.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Tooling?, Do you have a Master's degree?, Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
** Must be a U.S. citizen and have an active U.S. Government security clearance.**
Ideal Candidate will have:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field and 1 yr of relevant experience or,
No degree and 3+ years of relevant experience

- Willingness to learn
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
3+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
- Cloud security architecture, tooling, and monitoring
- Microsoft Cloud technologies such as Entra ID, Purview and Defender, preferably in GCC High
- Amazon Web Services technologies such as CloudTrail, GuardDuty, CloudWatch, AWS Security Groups, etc., preferably in GovCloud
- Security Operations to include security event monitoring and incident review
- Creating threat detections in cloud, host, and network security tooling
- Security Automation and scripting
- Incident Response
- Threat Hunting
- Application Security
- Penetration Testing, * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of cybersecurity-relevant work experience., High school diploma or equivalent and 4+ years of cybersecurity-relevant work experience.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits : $56.92 - $85.38
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted.
