Job description
A client of Insight Global is seeking a mid- to senior-level full stack engineer to help modernize and scale a mission-critical medical logistics platform. This engineer will play a key role in expanding the platform's ability to support far more than one or two large customers, driving improvements in scalability, reliability, and overall system performance. The ideal candidate brings strong experience across both infrastructure-as-code and full-stack development, with the versatility to work anywhere in the stack-including at the platform and environment-configuration levels, where deep technical judgment is essential.
This role requires someone who thrives in ambiguity and can lead complex efforts from initial concept through full delivery. The engineer will be expected to lead by example, take ownership of high-complexity tasks, and execute them without introducing unnecessary risk. Success in this position depends on technical breadth, sound decision-making, and a track record of elevating platform-level capabilities through hands-on experience and thoughtful engineering practices.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience as a full-stack engineer working with large-scale customers

- Understanding of how Enterprise Java services run in AWS environments
- Familiarity with Node.js and Python as natural progressions
- Strong SQL skills, including writing code and interpreting queries
- Software development engineer who understand the processes (like a dev ops person)
- Needs this person to code and also understand how the code will run in production
- Understanding principles and practices of CI systems - Open to or wanting to use AI
