Job description

The VP, Systems & Data Analyst will serve as the Bank's owner of projects regarding the Bank's data, reporting, and analytics, responsible for defining and executing a forward-looking AI-enabled data strategy. This role combines hands-on systems expertise with strategic leadership, driving the integration, optimization, and evolution of core platforms-including Fiserv DNA, Prologue, and Axiom Reporting-to deliver scalable insights and operational excellence. This individual will lead the transformation of data into a competitive advantage, building a culture of self-service analytics, automation, and intelligent decision-making across the Bank. The role will identify, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies that enhance reporting, forecasting, and operational efficiency while ensuring the Bank remains ahead of the curve in a rapidly evolving landscape. This position requires that the individual work in office, independently, and with minimal supervision.

Ensures compliance within all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations., * Diagnose and find ways to improve the Bank's reporting ecosystem, integrating and optimizing systems such as DNA, Prologue, CRMBI, Business Analytics Cognos, Baker Hill, Ncontracts and Axiom Reporting to ensure accuracy, scalability, and timeliness

  • Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines and reporting frameworks that reduce manual effort and improve data availability across the organization
  • Lead research, evaluation, and implementation of emerging AI tools, identifying high-impact opportunities to leverage AI, machine learning, and automation across Finance, Operations, and Risk
  • Identify and eliminate inefficiencies across reporting and operational workflows through automation and system integration
  • Partner across Operations, Accounting, IT, Compliance, and Lending to streamline processes and improve data-driven execution
  • Champion a self-service analytics culture, enabling business users with intuitive dashboards, tools, and training
  • Ensure data is not only accurate and controlled but also accessible and actionable across the Bank
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define and prioritize high-impact data initiatives aligned with strategic objectives
  • Operate with a high degree of ownership and independence, driving bank-wide initiatives without extensive oversight
  • Minimum of 10 hours CRA volunteer hours per year. Volunteer hours are typically scheduled within business hours. This is compensable time and mileage is reimbursed
  • Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities: This role operates as an independent, high-impact contributor with Bank-wide influence and has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, technical, or analytical discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 8-10+ years of experience in data analytics, financial systems, or banking technology environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with data analysis, reporting, and systems optimization
  • Proven ability to translate complex datasets into actionable business insights
  • Demonstrated experience leading high-impact data or reporting initiatives independently
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Direct experience with Fiserv DNA, Prologue, and Axiom Reporting preferred
  • Experience in banking or regulated financial environments, including exposure to regulatory reporting preferred
  • Familiarity with AI/ML tools, automation platforms, or advanced analytics frameworks preferred
  • Experience in data governance, data architecture, or system integrations preferred

The incumbent in the course of performing this position frequently spends time writing, typing, speaking, listening, operating basic business equipment, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus), sitting, walking, standing, reading documents or instruments, detailed work, problem solving, client contact, reasoning, math, language, presentations, verbal and written communication, analytical reasoning, stress, multiple concurrent tasks, and frequent interruptions. The incumbent for this position will occasionally lift up to 15 pounds, pull, squat, kneel and reach. The incumbent is in a non-confined office-type setting in which they are free to move about at will. The work environment is typically quiet to a moderate noise level.
