Job description
- Perform preventive maintenance and repair work on HVAC/R, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Maintain, operate, troubleshoot, and repair commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment
- Support building systems including electrical distribution, plumbing, lighting, roofing, and facility infrastructure
- Inspect facility equipment and identify maintenance or operational issues
- Diagnose and repair supermarket refrigeration rack systems
- Complete assigned work orders and update status in real time
- Utilize CMMS systems (Corrigo preferred) to document maintenance activities
- Submit P-card receipts daily and maintain accurate maintenance records
- Support energy-efficient operation of equipment and systems
- Assist with production equipment maintenance and repairs
- Participate in on-call and emergency maintenance activities as required
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintenance best practices
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver's License license?, Do you have experience in Troubleshooting refrigeration cycles?, Do you have a Trade school?, We are seeking an experienced HVAC/R Maintenance Technician with a strong background in commercial and supermarket refrigeration systems. This role is responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and facility systems to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with supermarket rack refrigeration systems, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to support a wide range of facility maintenance activities., * Supermarket Rack Refrigeration experience is required
- Minimum 4 years of experience in building engineering, facility maintenance, or HVAC/R service
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining commercial refrigeration systems
- Strong knowledge of:
- HVAC/R systems
- Commercial refrigeration
- Electrical systems and distribution equipment
- Plumbing and piping systems
- Production equipment maintenance
- Universal CFC Recovery Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment)
- Valid driver's license and ability to maintain driving privileges
- Willingness to participate in on-call work
- Willingness to join UFCW 951
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using CMMS or work order management systems (Corrigo preferred)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Two years of trade school or a documented apprenticeship in:
- HVAC
- Refrigeration
- Electrical systems
- UST Class B Certification (training provided), * Commercial refrigeration troubleshooting and repair
- Supermarket refrigeration rack systems
- HVAC/R maintenance and diagnostics
- Electrical troubleshooting and repair
- Plumbing and piping maintenance
- Preventive and corrective maintenance
- Building systems operations
- CMMS systems and maintenance documentation
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
