Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled Classified Systems Engineer to configure, manage, and maintain Unix and Linux operating environments for secure, classified software development. In this role you will install and load OS software, build and image workstations and laptops using Red Hat Kickstart, Ansible Playbooks, or comparable provisioning tools, and ensure strict STIG compliance across mixed-generation, vendor-customized platforms. You will troubleshoot and resolve network component issues, monitor day-to-day operations of classified development infrastructure, and provide rapid problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution. The position also involves assisting users in accessing and utilizing our classified development resources, supporting distributed compute and HPC-style analysis clusters, and managing data-intensive pipelines that underpin engineering programs. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to support multiple program configurations, conduct periodic inventory and classification of classified assets, and handle the secure disposition of legacy systems. This role demands a strong background in Unix/Linux administration, network configuration, and secure, classified environments.

Your strong analytical skills, coupled with your ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across departments, make you an invaluable asset to our team., Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or a related STEM field (or equivalent experience); Master's degree acceptable in lieu of experience.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on Linux administration in complex, regulated (DoD/DISA) environments.
Deep expertise with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (or equivalent), kernel-level troubleshooting, and imaging/provisioning tools such as Kickstart or Ansible.
Strong scripting/automation skills (Bash, Python, Perl) for system management and security hardening.
Proven experience implementing and maintaining DISA/STIG security policies on Linux servers.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance (and/or hold Security+ certification).
Solid understanding of storage solutions and data-intensive pipeline support.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills; able to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
The base range for this position in New Jersey is $91,000 - $181,113.
