Job description

We are hiring a Heavy Equipment Technician to support installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of machine control and GPS grade control systems used on heavy construction equipment. This is a hands-on role working with SmartGrade, Topcon, Trimble, and other precision construction technologies in both field and shop environments. You'll work directly on equipment used in earthmoving and grading applications, ensuring systems are properly installed, functioning correctly, and fully optimized for customer use. What You'll Do

  • Install and calibrate machine control and GPS grade control systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues
  • Support SmartGrade, Topcon, Trimble, and related construction technology systems
  • Verify system accuracy before equipment is released to customers or job sites
  • Work with service teams and technical support to resolve issues quickly
  • Assist with field support and occasional customer interaction

Requirements

Do you have experience in Welding repair?, * Experience as a heavy equipment technician, field service technician, mechanic, or similar role

  • Familiarity with construction equipment, machine control, or GPS systems (preferred but not required)
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to read schematics or willingness to learn
  • Strong hands-on problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working in shop and field environments

Nice to Have (Not Required)

  • Experience with SmartGrade, Topcon, Trimble, or other machine control systems
  • Background in construction, agriculture equipment, or industrial maintenance
  • Welding or fabrication experience

Work Environment

  • Field and shop-based work on heavy construction equipment
  • Exposure to active construction job sites
  • Outdoor work in all weather conditions
  • Occasional travel with possible overnight stays
