Job description

  • Design, manage, and optimize advanced Microsoft SQL database systems.
  • Assist in diagnosis and resolution of complex database issues with precision.
  • Implement and maintain security policies, conduct vulnerability analyses, and develop system documentation.
  • Partner with network, system, and database administrators to achieve mission-critical objectives.
  • Keep systems secure and current through patches, upgrades, and proactive maintenance.
  • Monitor performance, troubleshoot problems, and enhance reliability to ensure maximum availability.
  • Support re-accreditation efforts, including DISA STIG reviews, system upgrades, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Communicate effectively across diverse teams, bridging technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 2+ years. Equivalent training, certifications, or hands-on experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE) or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • Experience SQL Database Administration (SQL 2012 or newer) and Microsoft Server environments (2012 or newer).
  • Experience monitoring and tuning, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Visio.
  • Preferred familiarity with Azure Cloud concepts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with customers and colleagues.
