Job description

The Workday Financials Product Owner is responsible for the strategic vision, roadmap, and value realization of the Workday FINs platform. This role blends project management expertise, product ownership, and stakeholder engagement to drive transformation and business outcomes across finance operations. The Product Owner will manage multiple projects, delegate tasks effectively, influence change, and foster ownership and buy-in among stakeholders., Product Ownership:

  • Define and communicate product vision.

  • Build strategic roadmaps based on business needs and system usage.

  • Continuously improve finance processes.

  • Maintain and enhance FINs technology landscape.

Project Management:

  • Oversee multiple projects, delegate tasks, set priorities, and ensure accountability.

  • Track progress and report key metrics.

  • Run effective meetings and sprint planning.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance information system management

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Workday Financials modules, including Financial Accounting, Procurement, Expenses, Reporting & Analytics, Prism, and Adaptive Planning

  • Strong background in finance or accounting with solid understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls

  • Proven experience in product ownership and/or Agile delivery environments

  • Demonstrated project/program management skills, including delivery across multiple concurrent initiatives in complex, global organizations

  • Technical acumen with Workday integrations and reporting tools, including Workday Studio, EIBs, and reporting logic

  • Experience with enterprise data and analytics platforms such as Snowflake, supporting financial data integration and reporting solutions

  • Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning, Prism Analytics, Accounting Center, and Workday Extend preferred, but highly desirable

  • Strong change management, stakeholder engagement, and end-user training skills to drive adoption and successful implementation

Benefits & conditions

Pay range for this role is $150,000-$170,000 annually, depending on experience.
