Job description

We are seeking a reliable Desktop Support Technician in Quincy, MA to join a fast-paced IT team supporting enterprise end users. This is a hands-on, onsite role ideal for someone with strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and basic networking., * Provide onsite desktop support for laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals

  • Troubleshoot hardware issues and perform diagnostics, repairs, and replacements
  • Support Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office 365, Outlook, OneDrive, and other enterprise applications
  • Handle software troubleshooting including patches, deployments, and group policy issues
  • Build, image, and deploy corporate PCs; perform upgrades as needed
  • Perform IMACD activities (install, move, add, change, dispose) within SLA timelines
  • Troubleshoot basic LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VPN, and wireless connectivity issues
  • Document incidents, resolutions, and updates in ticketing systems
  • Manage IT asset inventory, shipping/receiving, and device lifecycle processes
  • Escort vendors and support onsite technical activities as needed

Requirements

Do you have experience in Wireless networking?, * 3+ years of desktop support or IT support experience

  • Strong experience with Windows environments and Office 365 support
  • Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VPN, wireless)
  • Experience with imaging tools and PC deployment
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing systems
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users
  • Experience with inventory, asset management, and hardware logistics

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting macOS devices
  • Basic scripting or automation knowledge
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Linux+

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 39 lbs independently and assist with heavier equipment
  • Comfortable with physical tasks including walking, lifting, bending, and working with equipment
