Job description
The Swing Shift QA Technician is responsible for the quality and accuracy of all products produced at the Company. The specialists work closely with the QA Manager and Operations on all levels of receiving, production, labeling and shipping preparations. They must gain and maintain an intimate knowledge of all company products, procedures and policies., Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Ensure that Quality Reports are initiated, accurate and complete for each production run and provided in a timely manner to management as required
- Inspect incoming materials, receive incoming materials, and fill out receiving reports
- Ensures that product coding is accurate and properly formatted
- Ensures that needed components are accurately picked and properly handled for each production run
- Assists in the compilation and creation of the weekly production report and other reports
- Ensures that requested process or product data is collected for analysis
- Ensures that production sampling and inspection for the accuracy of product appearance, product sub-components, product net weights, and product lot coding as per the inspection plan
- Ensures that all control points are monitored and logged
- Assists with monthly self-audits
- Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for the accomplishment of new and different requests and exploring opportunities for adding value to job skills and accomplishments
Requirements
Do you have experience in Computer literacy?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * Strong organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills focused on teamwork and customer service; professional demeanor
- Self-starting, strong initiative to perform, able to work without immediate supervision
- Detail oriented, with a commitment to quality and accuracy
- Ability to work with numbers in a product building format
- Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, Bartender, DBA, etc.), The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Expected Hours of Work:
This is a Full Time position with occasional overtime. The person must be able to work weekends during the busy season. There may be different schedules required at different times during the calendar year. Typically, these shifts include, but are not limited to: 2:00pm - 10:30pm
Required Education and Experience :
- High School Diploma or Equivalent, Associate preferred.
- Two years in QA field or equivalent education and/or two years in Food Processing with extensive knowledge of G.M.P.'s., * High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- QA in Food Processing : 2 years (Preferred)
Language:
- English (Required)
- Spanish (Preferred)
