Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to innovative security solutions and continuous improvement in cybersecurity practices., * Monitor and analyze network traffic using SIEM tools such as Splunk or SolarWinds to detect potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining security controls aligned with NIST standards, ISO 27000 series, and FedRAMP compliance frameworks.
- Manage network security devices including Cisco ASA firewalls, Cisco ISE for identity management, IDS/IPS systems, and VPN solutions to ensure robust perimeter defense.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and research emerging cyber threats to proactively identify risks within LAN/WAN environments and cloud infrastructure like AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
- Support incident response activities by investigating security breaches, performing system forensics, and assisting in incident recovery efforts across operating systems such as Windows, Linux (Debian, CentOS), macOS, and UNIX-based systems.
- Assist with system hardening procedures including system security plans (SSPs), OS configuration management using GPOs or Ansible automation tools.
- Collaborate with network engineering teams on network architecture design involving routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), load balancing, high availability configurations, and network support for diverse environments.
Requirements
Do you have experience in WAN?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Proven experience with computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN architecture, TCP/IP protocols, DHCP/DNS services, and routing protocols like EIGRP or OSPF.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles such as encryption (PKI), authentication methods (SAML SSO), access management (RBAC), and threat detection & response strategies.
- Familiarity with security standards including ISO <LOCATION>, NIST standards, FIPS compliance, PCI DSS requirements, and FISMA regulations.
- Hands-on experience with firewall management (Cisco ASA), network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG), SIEM platforms (Splunk), and vulnerability management tools.
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure along with virtualization technologies like VMware vSphere or Citrix is highly desirable.
- Ability to script using Bash or PowerShell for automation tasks; experience with DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field; professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CEH or Cisco ISE certification are preferred. Benefits & conditions
$42 - $49 an hour - Full-time, Contract
