Job description
We are seeking a dependable and technically skilled IT Technician to support the day-to-day technology needs of our organization. This role is responsible for maintaining hardware and software systems, providing helpdesk support to staff, and ensuring our network and devices operate efficiently and securely. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong communication skills who thrives in a small-team environment., * Provide first- and second-level technical support to end users via phone, email, and in person
- Set up, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices
- Install, update, and troubleshoot operating systems, software applications, and security tools
- Monitor and maintain local area network (LAN), Wi-Fi infrastructure, and internet connectivity
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in Active Directory and cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365)
- Maintain an inventory of hardware, software licenses, and IT assets, including company phones and dashcams
- Assist with onboarding new employees - setting up workstations, accounts, and access
- Identify and escalate security vulnerabilities; assist in implementing cybersecurity best practices
- Document IT procedures, troubleshooting steps, and system configurations
- Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers as needed, This position is primarily office-based with occasional travel to other showroom locations (SC) or vendor sites as needed. The role may require lifting and moving equipment up to 50 lbs. Some after-hours or weekend availability may be required for system maintenance, upgrades, or critical issue resolution.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Spreadsheets?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, * Associate's degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field - OR equivalent work experience
- 1-3 years of experience in an IT support or help desk role
- Proficiency with Windows 10/11 operating systems; basic macOS familiarity a plus
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
- Familiarity with Active Directory user and group management
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to prioritize and resolve issues efficiently
- Clear verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
Preferred Qualifications
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification
- Experience with managed antivirus or endpoint detection/response (EDR) platforms
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and data protection practices
- Advanced Excel Skills a Plus
