Job description

Griffin Technology Group is seeking a skilled Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer to serve as a key technical resource within our support organization. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys advanced troubleshooting, solving complex technical issues, mentoring technicians, and helping businesses succeed through technology.

As a NOC Engineer, you'll work alongside our support team, engineering team, and client partners to resolve issues, improve processes, and maintain secure, reliable technology environments. Important: This position is on-site only at our Mentor, Ohio office. Candidates must be located in Northeast Ohio. Remote applicants will not be considered.

What You'll Do

Microsoft 365 Support

  • Troubleshoot advanced mail flow issues
  • Resolve Conditional Access and authentication issues
  • Support Teams Voice and SharePoint permissions
  • Resolve licensing conflicts and service plan issues
  • Assist with hybrid identity troubleshooting

Networking Support

  • Troubleshoot wireless access point issues
  • Configure VLAN assignments and switch ports
  • Diagnose intermittent network connectivity problems
  • Support firewall and VPN troubleshooting
  • Replace and configure network devices

Security & Backup

  • Investigate backup failures
  • Perform restore testing and validation
  • Respond to endpoint security alerts
  • Support cybersecurity remediation efforts
  • Assist with threat investigations

Technical Support

  • Serve as an escalation resource for NOC Technicians
  • Resolve advanced Tier 2 support issues
  • Perform root cause analysis
  • Improve documentation and operational processes
  • Support infrastructure projects and client onboarding activities

Requirements

Do you have experience in VMware?, * 3+ years of IT support experience

  • MSP experience preferred
  • Strong Microsoft 365 knowledge
  • Active Directory and Azure AD experience
  • Networking knowledge including DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and wireless technologies
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Experience with ConnectWise, SonicWall, VMware, Microsoft Azure, or similar technologies is a plus
