- Troubleshoot and repair network hardware such as Cisco routers, Juniper switches, Avaya telephony systems, and VoIP equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems using tools like ohmmeters and power tools to ensure safety and functionality.
- Perform fiber splicing and cabling tasks following schematics and industry standards to support network installation projects.
- Support field service activities by diagnosing issues on-site with computer hardware, telecommunication systems, and data center equipment.
- Maintain detailed records of equipment repairs, installations, and inspections while adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Assist with CCTV system setup and maintenance to ensure security camera coverage across the facility.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Telecommunication?, * Proven service technician experience working with computer networking hardware, electrical systems, or data center environments.
- Familiarity with schematics, network installation procedures, and telecommunications infrastructure including LAN (Local Area Network) setups.
- Hands-on experience with Ethernet cabling (Cat5/Cat6), fiber splicing, and low voltage wiring in commercial settings.
- Knowledge of Cisco routers, Juniper networking equipment, Avaya telephony systems, and VoIP technology.
- Ability to use hand tools effectively for equipment repair and cabling tasks while following safety protocols.
- Prior experience supporting data center operations or working in IT infrastructure environments is highly preferred.
- Strong customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
