Job description
Impact West is hiring an IT Support Engineer to support our managed services clients day to day. You will handle user support, Microsoft 365 administration, endpoint management, and basic server and network troubleshooting across multiple client environments.
This is a strong fit for an early-to-mid-career IT professional who likes solving problems, working directly with clients, and building technical skills in an MSP environment.
What You'll Do
- Triage and resolve support tickets by phone, email, remote tools, and RMM alerts
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, printers, and common business apps
- Troubleshoot Microsoft 365 issues: Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, MFA, licensing, and user access
- Run user onboarding and offboarding (accounts, groups, mailbox permissions, license assignment)
- Configure and support laptops, desktops, and mobile devices, including Intune enrollment and compliance
- Troubleshoot Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Remote Desktop, Wi-Fi, and network connectivity
- Document work clearly in the ticketing system and escalate complex issues with full context
- Support client onboarding, device rollouts, and Microsoft 365 projects, We provide managed IT services, cybersecurity, infrastructure support, and technology consulting for businesses that want dependable support and a practical long-term IT strategy. You will work on a modern tool stack with a team that documents its work and does things the right way.
Requirements
Do you have experience in macOS administration?, * 1 to 3 years of IT support experience, ideally in an MSP or multi-client environment
- Working knowledge of Windows, macOS, and basic Windows Server administration
- Microsoft 365 administration experience (users, licensing, Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint)
- Basic Active Directory experience (user and computer management)
- Foundational networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi, and basic switching and routing
- Familiarity with RMM, remote support, endpoint management, or ticketing platforms
- Strong troubleshooting skills, clear communication, and a customer-first attitude
Nice to Have
- Prior experience at a Managed Service Provider
- Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, Autopilot, and Conditional Access
- Backup platforms such as Datto, Veeam, or Axcient
- Network platforms such as Meraki, SonicWall, Fortinet, Ubiquiti, or WatchGuard
- PSA platforms such as HaloPSA, ConnectWise, or Autotask
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, MS-900, AZ-900, MD-102, or CCNA
