Job description
We're not your typical company. The Light Park produces 9+ large-scale drive-through Christmas light shows across Texas and Oklahoma every season - hundreds of thousands of lights, synchronized to music, running night after night for tens of thousands of visitors. We build everything from the ground up out of our central warehouse in Bryan, TX, and we run lean, move fast, and take serious pride in what we create.
Now we need someone who can keep all of it running.
The Role
This isn't a help desk job. You won't be resetting passwords or babysitting printer queues.
You'll be the technical backbone of our entire operation - managing networks across 9+ venues, keeping show technology online, programming pixel controllers, and training on-site crew at each location. When a show goes dark or a network drops mid-season, you're the one who fixes it.
You'll be working with technology most people have never touched - including pixel controller programming using xLights and FPP (we'll teach you that part). If you get excited about learning niche tech and making it work at scale, keep reading.
What You'll Do
- Manage and maintain UniFi network infrastructure across all venues - switches, access points, wireless, the works
- Keep all tech running at our Bryan warehouse and every show location
- Program and troubleshoot pixel controllers using xLights and FPP (training provided)
- Maintain our Flex inventory software
- Travel to all 9+ venues during show season (Oct-Jan) to deploy, support, and troubleshoot - Fully Paid Travel Expenses
- Train on-site show techs at each venue so they can handle day-to-day issues
- Work closely with the team in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver's License license?, Do you have experience in Wireless network configuration?, Must-haves:
- Hands-on experience with UniFi network systems
- Solid networking fundamentals - LAN/WAN, wireless, switches, access points
- A/V knowledge
- AC and DC electrical knowledge
- Comfortable in a warehouse, on a job site, and on the road
- Willing to travel extensively Oct-Jan
Strong pluses:
- Experience with xLights, FPP, or pixel controller programming
- Experience training technical skills to non-technical people
- Calm under pressure when tech goes down
Most importantly - you figure things out. You learn fast, communicate clearly, and don't need hand-holding once you know the system.
What We Offer
- Full-time, year-round - not a seasonal gig
- Starting at $20/hour
- You'll learn specialized skills (pixel lighting tech, large-scale show production) that very few people in the world have
- A tight-knit team doing something genuinely cool at scale
Valid driver's license required. Background check required., * IT: 1 year (Preferred)
