Network Technician

We are seeking a Network Technician to support enterprise network infrastructure deployment, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities across multiple locations within the metropolitan area. The selected candidate will work closely with network engineers and technical teams to install network hardware, support connectivity initiatives, document field activities, and ensure successful infrastructure implementations., * Install, replace, and configure network switches, ports, and related infrastructure components.

• Support enterprise network deployment and implementation projects.
• Troubleshoot wired and wireless network connectivity issues.
• Stage, transport, secure, and install network hardware at various locations.
• Maintain accurate documentation of installation activities and technical work performed.
• Coordinate with engineers, project teams, and stakeholders to communicate project status and technical concerns.
• Assist with infrastructure equipment placement and installation according to network design requirements.
• Support field operations across multiple sites while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
• Participate in knowledge-sharing and team cross-training initiatives.

Do you have experience in Wireless networking?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * High School Diploma/GED with four (4) or more years of relevant experience; OR

• Associate degree, higher degree, or two-year technical/college certification with two (2) or more years of relevant experience.

Preferred Certifications

One or more of the following certifications is preferred:

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
• Microsoft Azure Certification (AZ-900) or equivalent

Required Experience

• Experience installing and replacing physical network switches and ports in enterprise environments.
• Experience supporting network infrastructure deployment and installation projects.
• Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting network connectivity issues.
• Experience supporting both wired and wireless network environments.
• Experience documenting technical activities using notes, photographs, spreadsheets, or similar methods.
• Experience transporting, staging, and installing network hardware and equipment.
• Experience communicating technical issues, installation status, and project updates with engineers and technical teams.
• Experience working with general low-voltage power systems, multimedia connectivity, and SolarWinds.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and floor plans.
• Ability to work onsite at multiple locations throughout the 7-county metro area, both indoors and outdoors.

• Experience working in field-support environments requiring travel between multiple locations.
• Experience supporting public sector, transportation, or large enterprise organizations.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional technical teams.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in completing installation and documentation activities.
