This is a hands-on position where your analytical thinking will directly shape business decisions and improve customer experiences. From personalised communications to smarter stock management, your work will help us deliver better outcomes for millions of customers.
You'll tackle a variety of challenges, such as:
- Enhancing marketing effectiveness
- Maximising customer lifetime value
- Reducing customer churn
- Supporting smarter stock and demand decisions
Whatever you're working on, you'll keep our customers at the heart of every decision.
This role can be based in Welwyn Garden City, Slough, or London, with occasional travel to other sites.
- Join your team in person for a fortnightly meeting (usually in Slough or London)
- Enjoy hybrid working, with time spent both in the office and at home
You will be responsible for
- Build, validate, and optimise models and mange basic models and data pipelines
- Contribute across the data science lifecycle, including documentation and security best practices
- Use statistical analysis to generate insights, improve customer experience and drive business improvements
- Collaborate with your team to solve problems and share knowledge
- Continuously identify ways to improve your work and develop your skills
- Work collaboratively within our data science team and your project group in order to achieve the best possible outcome
You will need
We're looking for someone who's eager to learn, enjoys working with others, and can turn data into clear, meaningful stories.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Statistical analysis?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Experience with Python, SQL, and scikit-learn, plus basic PySpark knowledge
- Understanding of database systems and data handling
- Familiarity with full machine learning lifecycles (deployment experience is a bonus)
- Strong coding practices, including testing and optimisation
- Ability to turn ambiguous questions into structured, solvable problems (with support)
- Confident communicator-able to explain ideas clearly to non-technical audiences
- Strong listening skills and a collaborative mindset
- PhD, Masters or Bachelors Degree within a Data Science field or similar
