Job description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Computer Science graduate to join our growing technology team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or junior developer to gain hands-on experience across software development, business intelligence, process automation and IT systems management within a fast-paced business environment.

The successful candidate will work directly alongside the Head of IT, supporting the development of bespoke business applications, Power BI reporting solutions, data automation tools and business systems.

The role offers exposure to a wide variety of technologies and real-world business projects, making it ideal for someone looking to develop a broad technical skillset and build a successful career within technology., Software Development

  • Assist with the development and maintenance of internal business applications
  • Support ongoing software redevelopment projects
  • Write, test and maintain code using modern development practices
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues
  • Participate in application testing and deployment activities
  • Create technical documentation and user guides

Python Development & Automation

  • Develop Python scripts to automate business processes
  • Support and enhance existing automation tools and web scrapers
  • Assist with API integrations between business systems
  • Help reduce manual administration through automation and workflow improvements
  • Monitor and maintain existing automated solutions

Power BI & Data Analysis

  • Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards
  • Assist with data cleansing, transformation and modelling
  • Create visualisations and reports to support business decision-making
  • Work with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements
  • Support the production of management information and KPI reporting

Business Systems Support

  • Assist with the maintenance and improvement of business systems
  • Support CRM, ERP and operational software platforms
  • Help investigate system issues and identify improvements
  • Participate in software implementation and integration projects

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in Software development?, Essential

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline
  • Understanding of programming principles and software development methodologies
  • Experience using Python through university projects, placements or personal projects
  • Basic understanding of databases and SQL
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable

  • Experience with Power BI
  • Experience with Microsoft 365
  • Knowledge of web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Familiarity with Git version control
  • Experience with APIs and data integrations
  • Knowledge of SQL Server, PostgreSQL or MySQL
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure
