Data Engineer

We are currently seeking an Intermediate Data Engineer in Manchester to join our rapidly growing. Data Engineering team. This role is for someone who is passionate about building innovative solutions and being exposed to new challenges and technologies while making an impact. This position is available to existing Clions in other roles who have suitable skills and interests., * Implement data ingestion (real-time and batch) using best practices in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes by leveraging Azure technologies and data tools

• Design, build, and maintain data transformation pipelines and notebooks, consolidating various data sources (streaming or batch) into Data Lakes / Data Warehouses
• Collaborate with engineers to help adopt best practices in data system creation, data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation
• Develop prototype or "proof of concept" implementations of projects where the technical solution is unknown or unproven
• Build interactive reports for internal and customer consumption

• Experience in software development, as well as experience in data engineering or data analytics
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure)
• Proficiency in at least one major language (e.g., Python, Spark SQL, or Scala) and SQL, the drive to write elegant and maintainable code, and a desire to pick up new technologies
• Experience with streaming and batch data tools: Spark, Airflow
• Data warehousing experience working with MS Fabric or similar
• Experience using visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)
• Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, and the ability to derive clarity in ambiguous environments
• Experience using mirroring or other replication tools
• You are a self-starter and thrive on feedback

There are a separate set of salary bands for other regions based on local currency. * Our salary bands are designed to reflect the range of skills and experience needed for the position and to allow room for growth at Clio. For experienced individuals, we typically hire at or around the midpoint of the band. The top portion of the salary band is reserved for employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at Clio. Those who are new to the role may join below the midpoint and develop their skills over time. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on geographical region, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
