Job description

We are now looking for a talented and inspiring Designer to join our growing New Homes division and make a valuable contribution to our continued success. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about design, building relationships, and creating exceptional customer experiences. The successful candidate will work with intention, ensuring every design solution is tailored to customer needs and delivered to the high standards that reflect the Hammonds Way.

In this role, you will create inspiring fitted furniture designs for new-build developments, producing floor plans, 3D renders, quotations, and presentation packs that support our property developer partners and help drive sales. Working closely with the National Sales Team, you'll combine creativity with commercial awareness to develop design solutions that showcase the best of the Hammonds range and contribute to winning new business. Attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a passion for great design will be key as you support the ongoing growth and success of our New Homes division, demonstrating our values of being Real, Committed, and Creative in everything you do.

What you'll be doing:

  • You will be designing Hammonds fitted bedrooms, offices, understairs and lounge furniture in our new build homes.
  • You will create a suite of floor plans, 3D renders using the latest CAD software and quotation packs to help sell fitted furniture to the customer through the developer.
  • Provide accurate quotations based on established customer rates.
  • To support the National Sales Team by producing exciting furniture designs and presentation pack to win potential new business.

Requirements

Do you have experience in SketchUp?, * A passion for design, with the ability to create inspiring fitted furniture solutions that bring customers' homes to life.

  • Experience or confidence in producing floor plans, 3D renders, and presentation materials using CAD software.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring quotations and design proposals are accurate and commercially sound.
  • A customer-focused approach, understanding how great design supports an exceptional customer experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Enthusiasm, creativity, and a proactive mindset, with a genuine interest in continuous learning and personal development.
  • The ability to support sales activity by producing compelling designs and presentation packs that help win new business., * CAD: 1 year (preferred)
