Job description

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience supporting Texas state government agencies, PeopleSoft environments, enterprise application development, technical project leadership, and IT service management. This role requires a highly analytical professional capable of working independently while collaborating with business, technical, and vendor teams to support mission-critical statewide systems., * Provide senior-level technical consulting and support for the CAPPS Program

  • Support CAPPS HR/Payroll requirements, procedures, development, and testing activities
  • Ensure vendor deliverables comply with established procedures, coding standards, and system development lifecycle requirements
  • Review and validate developed code before production migration
  • Perform technical reviews of functional designs, specifications, and integration documentation
  • Analyze business processes and system workflows to evaluate ERP solution alignment
  • Develop technical scenarios and test cases to validate system functionality
  • Identify technical gaps, risks, dependencies, and architectural impacts
  • Support design reviews and readiness assessments for development and testing activities
  • Monitor compliance with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards
  • Manage accessibility waiver requests, tracking, renewals, and remediation activities
  • Provide Level 2 Service Desk support, including:
  • Complex ticket resolution
  • Troubleshooting
  • Root cause analysis
  • System configuration support
  • Maintain accurate documentation and service records
  • Support disaster recovery testing and system upgrade activities
  • Participate in annual SOC-1 audit activities and compliance initiatives
  • Support information security controls and system protection measures
  • Collaborate with Managed Services vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Follow ITIL-based service management and asset management practices
  • Respond to technical issues involving:
  • Interfaces
  • File transfers
  • Connectivity issues
  • Batch processing failures
  • Agency support requests
  • Perform additional technical and project-related duties as assigned, This position is approved as a fully remote assignment within the continental United States. Candidates must be comfortable supporting mission-critical statewide systems, collaborating with remote teams, and participating in occasional after-hours, weekend, or holiday support activities when required.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Vendor relationship management?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * 10+ years of experience supporting Texas state government agencies

  • 10+ years of experience supporting enterprise application systems
  • 10+ years of technical project management experience
  • 10+ years of experience supporting CAPPS programs and environments
  • 10+ years of experience with:

  • Data quality management
  • SDLC methodologies
  • Enterprise systems support
  • 10+ years of experience preparing and delivering executive-level presentations
  • 10+ years of experience managing strategic roadmaps and cross-functional initiatives
  • 10+ years of experience interpreting and enforcing contractual requirements with vendors
  • 8+ years of experience supporting IT Service Desk operations and ITIL processes
  • Experience gathering business requirements for large-scale projects
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently within remote and distributed teams
