Job description
As the Application Support Specialist, you will be responsible for the successful planning, analyzing, and implementation of life safety software applications and system hardware packages to ensure customer and business goals are met and/or exceeded.
Essential Responsibilities

Reviews and analyzes projects, in collaboration with the internal staff and customers, to determine technical specifications and customize solutions that meet/exceed customer needs and business profit needs.

Participates in technical project planning, utilizing estimating and project management, to provide guidance in order to achieve customer objectives.

Programs, configures, and commissions Nurse Call, RTLS, Patient White Boards, Wire Telephony, paging systems and other Life Safety and Building system products to fulfill the needs of the customer.

Coordinates, installs, maintains, and creates test environments and relays technical information to other service members and end users to ensure quality performing systems.

Installs, modifies, upgrades, and performs maintenance on supported software and equipment as needed for continued optimal performance.

Reviews, collaborates, recommends edits, and executes on processes and procedures with the team to manage identifiable risks and ensure compliance in all areas.

Instructs and trains customers on the functional operation of the equipment/systems, ensuring ease of usage.

Performs integration between systems such as nurse call, patient administration (Admit, Discharge & Transfer - ADT), wireless phone and middleware ensuring proper set up and functioning.

Maintains Customer Relationship Database (CRM) to ensure accurate files and up-to-date information to continual build on the relationship.

Prepares and maintains technical closeout documentation such as riser diagrams, testing results and warranty information for accurate files.

Supports the team and departments, as needed, for the continued sustainability and growth of the business., Normal working hours are 7:00 am to 4:00 pm EDT, Monday through Friday, however, is a salaried position. This position works around the schedules of our customers. There could be times that require after-hour activities such as dinners or benefits to meet with staff, management or customers. Working Saturdays and Sundays may be required to meet customer and project timelines, however not the norm.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows support?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, A. Education: An Associates Degree in Computer Science or similar field; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
B. Experience: 2+years of progressive experience in low voltage electrical systems, Nurse Call, RTLS, Patient White Boards, Wireless Telephony or Paging Systems. Previous experience working in or with hospital IT staff along with database administration.
C. Functional Skills: Strong skillset in planning, prioritizing, analyzing, and organizing with high attention to detail. Strong ability to manage multiple projects and due dates, with strong execution skills; excellent problem-solving skills.
D. Technology Aptitude/Skills: Knowledge of Network Topology (Wireless Networks, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, FTP, Windows File services). Experience with VMWare, Crystal Reports, HL7, and Citrix are preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Access). Experience with MS SQL environments up to and including MS SQL 2017 from installation to query level troubleshooting in various applications. Experience with MS Server up to and including MS Server 2016 as well as Domain, DNS and DHCP administration and structure. Knowledge of what SIP and TAP messages are and how they are used for SMS/Pagers in the telecommunication field. Knowledge of remote access applications such as TeamViewer, VNC, etc. Ability to troubleshoot networking problems via tools like 'Wireshark'. Knowledge of remote access via VPN. Experience with advanced level networking; Ability to troubleshoot connectivity and functionality through the entire OSI Model. Knowledge of Subnet design and implementation. Knowledge of traffic types, QoS rules. Load balancing and clustering; F5, Kemp, Netscaler.
E. Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English required; able to present and train others at various levels in and outside the organization.
