Job description
We are seeking a motivated Junior Systems Engineer with 3 to 5 years of IT experience to join our growing Managed Services team. This position is ideal for someone looking to expand their knowledge across Microsoft 365, Windows Server, networking, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies while working alongside senior engineers on client projects and support initiatives.
The Junior Systems Engineer will assist with system administration, endpoint management, troubleshooting, deployments, and client support while developing technical expertise in modern IT environments.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for end users and business clients.
- Deploy, configure, and support Windows workstations and servers.
- Assist with Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Support user account management within Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Active Directory.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and connectivity issues.
- Assist with Intune device enrollment and management.
- Support cybersecurity initiatives including endpoint protection, MFA, and security awareness programs.
- Configure and maintain network equipment including switches, wireless access points, and firewalls.
- Participate in client onboarding, workstation deployments, and technology refresh projects.
- Document systems, procedures, and resolutions within the PSA and knowledge base.
- Escalate complex issues to senior engineers as needed.
- Participate in after-hours maintenance windows on an occasional basis., Within the first 90 days, the Junior Systems Engineer will:
- Successfully manage routine support requests independently.
- Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft 365 administration tasks.
- Assist with client onboarding and deployment projects.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ticket updates.
- Achieve established service delivery and customer satisfaction goals.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver's License license?, Do you have experience in Windows?, * CompTIA A+ Certification (Required)
- Up to 3 years of professional IT support or systems administration experience.
- Strong understanding of Windows 10/11 operating systems.
- Basic understanding of Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
- Familiarity with computer hardware, printers, and networking fundamentals.
- Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Certifications
- CompTIA Network+
- CompTIA Security+
- CompTIA Server+
- Microsoft Fundamentals certifications (MS-900, AZ-900, SC-900)
Preferred Technical Experience
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- Microsoft 365 Administration
- Microsoft Intune
- Microsoft Entra ID
- Windows Server
- Fortinet Firewalls
- Ubiquiti Networking
- NinjaOne / RMM platforms
- SentinelOne, Huntress, or similar security products
- PowerShell scripting
- Azure cloud services

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
