Full-Stack Software Engineer (Python & Web Applications)

Unison Systems is seeking a versatile Full-Stack Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain data-driven applications end to end using AI/ML. From database and API layers through to the web front end. The ideal candidate is comfortable writing production Python, designing performant SQL, building and consuming APIs, and deploying to the cloud, while leveraging modern AI tools to work efficiently. In addition to strong back-end skills, this role requires solid front-end development ability, the engineer will be responsible for building the web front-end interfaces, working primarily in HTML. This is a hands-on role for a developer who enjoys owning a problem from data model all the way through to the user interface., * Develop and maintain automation scripts, data pipelines, and application logic in Python

• Design, write, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database schemas
• Build, document, and integrate RESTful APIs to connect internal and third-party systems
• Build and maintain the web front-end interfaces, developing primarily in HTML (with supporting CSS and JavaScript) to deliver clean, functional, user-facing screens
• Deploy, manage, and monitor applications and services in the AWS cloud environment
• Manage source control, branching, and collaborative workflows using Git
• Apply AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, testing, and problem-solving
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions

• Proven proficiency in Python scripting and development
• Strong SQL query development and relational database design skills
• Hands-on experience with API development and integration
• Solid front-end development skills, with the ability to build web front-end interfaces primarily using HTML (along with supporting CSS and JavaScript)
• Working experience deploying and managing services in AWS
• Proficiency with Git version control
• Demonstrated ability to use AI tools effectively in a development workflow
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to own projects end to end

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Experience with modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue, etc.)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code
• Experience working in an Agile/DevOps environment
