Job description

This position is fully field based and in the office. You will be working at client sites daily, managing your own schedule through a PSA and dispatch while coordinating with our Tier 3 technicians for installs. We expect a technician who works cleanly, communicates clearly with clients, and delivers professional results without needing to be managed through every step., * Run, terminate, and test CAT5e/CAT6 cable, including punch downs, RJ45 crimping, patch panels, and tone and trace

  • Mount and wire network racks with clean, organized cable management
  • Install and configure switches, access points, wireless, firewalls, cameras, and access control systems
  • Troubleshoot network, video, phone, and internet issues on client equipment
  • Scope projects onsite and work with the team to build accurate quotes and material lists
  • Handle bench work between projects, including hardware and firewall preconfiguration, imaging, and staging equipment for deployment
  • Log work and time in our PSA system and maintain accurate documentation
  • Communicate professionally with clients onsite and by phone
  • Follow safe work practices, including ladder safety and safe driving

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driver's License license?, Do you have experience in Wireless network configuration?, * 2+ years of experience installing and troubleshooting low-voltage cable and network hardware

  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including switching, wireless, and IP troubleshooting
  • Comfortable working independently and managing your own time on a job site
  • Proficient with hand and power tools, ladders, and working at height
  • Able to lift 50 lbs and work in tight spaces such as above ceilings
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Clean background check
  • Professional communication skills and a high standard for quality work

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ubiquiti, Cisco, Meraki, CompTIA, or Microsoft certifications
  • Experience with camera and access control platforms
  • Experience with a PSA or ticketing system (ConnectWise, Autotask, HaloPSA, or similar)
  • MSP background or experience in regulated environments such as healthcare/HIPAA
