Job description
The Mobile Software Engineer serves on the Device Engineering team and is primarily responsible for supporting application deployment, mobile device management, and the integration of hardware and software peripherals to enable efficient frontline and operational workflows. This role partners with internal and external stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable mobile solutions that meet business needs across operations. In addition, the position supports the design, development, testing, deployment, support, and enhancement of mobile applications used by Cast Members across iOS and Android platforms. Success in this role requires strong engineering fundamentals, sound judgment, and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams to deliver high-quality products and continuous improvement.
- Support the deployment and lifecycle management of mobile applications and devices using mobility management platforms, including configuration, policy enforcement, operational readiness, and ongoing support activities.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to plan, implement, and support standardized device configurations and deployment approaches across multiple device types and operational environments.
- Integrate mobile devices and applications with hardware and software peripherals such as barcode scanners, NFC readers, printers, and related SDK- or firmware-based components.
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to define requirements, evaluate use cases, and deliver solutions that align with security, compliance, and company standards.
- Contribute to issue resolution, technical documentation, continuous improvement, and support processes that improve reliability, usability, and maintainability of mobile solutions.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance mobile applications for iOS and Android in an environment.
- Apply modern software development lifecycle practices, source control, automated pipelines, and quality-focused engineering methods to deliver secure, scalable, and supportable solutions.
Requirements
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship not available., * 4-5 years of relevant experience supporting mobile environments, including mobile application deployment, device lifecycle management, and operational support for internal users.
- Experience administering mobile device management solutions, preferably Workspace ONE (AirWatch), including smart groups, profiles, certificates, compliance policies, and deployment configuration.
- Demonstrated experience integrating mobile devices and applications with hardware and software peripherals, including barcode scanners, NFC readers, printers, SDKs, firmware, and related device communication components.
- Strong understanding of deployment practices, device configuration standards, support processes, and operational readiness activities in an mobility environment.
- Demonstrated experience developing mobile applications for iOS and Android using native and/or hybrid frameworks; experience with Flutter is preferred.
- Working knowledge of software development lifecycle practices, secure coding principles, testing, technical documentation, Python, scripting, systems integration, and tools such as SharePoint, Power Automate, Tableau, Power BI, and web-based data integration tools.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across teams, vendors, and business partners.
