Job description
Do you want to play a key role in shaping and scaling Workday in one of Europe's fastest-growing fitness companies? Are you a hands-on Workday expert who thrives at the intersection of HR, IT, and data - and ready to take real ownership in a complex, international environment? Then we're looking for you.
At Basic-Fit, technology drives how we grow. With 4.7 million members and 1,650+ clubs across 6 countries, we're strengthening our HR technology landscape to keep up with our ambitions. As our Senior Workday Specialist, you'll be the technical authority on our Workday platform - and the go-to sparring partner for HR, IT, Payroll, and Finance.
This Is What Your Role Looks Like
This role goes beyond functional support. You own the technical configuration and evolution of our Workday platform, translating complex business requirements into robust, scalable solutions - across Core HCM, Time Tracking, Absence, Scheduling, Reporting, Expenses, and Integrations.
Your responsibilities will be:
- Workday configuration & architecture: Own and configure Core HCM, including supervisory organizations, job structures, business processes, condition rules, validations, and eligibility logic
- Time & Absence: Lead configuration and optimization of Time Tracking / Attendance, Absence and Scheduling - including accruals, calendars, rules, time entry, approvals, and audits
- Integrations & technical ownership: Take end-to-end ownership of Workday integrations (EIBs, Core Connectors, APIs, and where applicable Workday Studio), including requirements, design, testing, monitoring, and issue resolution
- Reporting, data & security: Design and maintain advanced reports and dashboards; manage data quality and root-cause analysis; configure and maintain Workday security in line with compliance and least-privilege principles
- Release management: Lead Workday release cycles - assess impact, coordinate testing, document changes, and communicate clearly with stakeholders
- Continuous improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce manual work, and improve the user experience for HR and employees alike
- Stakeholder collaboration: Act as a senior sparring partner for HR, IT, Payroll, Finance, and external partners - challenging requirements constructively and translating them into best-practice solutions
Requirements
