Job description

  • Process and manage Data Subject Access Requests (SARs), including complex redactions.
  • Support Freedom of Information (FOI) and Environmental Information Regulation (EIR) requests.
  • Assist with information security, data protection, and records management compliance.
  • Maintain and manage archive records in line with legislation and Council policies.
  • Provide advice and guidance on information governance procedures.
  • Investigate and support information security incidents where required.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders regarding information requests.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in Quality assurance?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Previous experience in an Information Governance, Data Protection, FOI, or Records Management role.

  • Strong knowledge of GDPR, Data Protection legislation, and Freedom of Information requirements.
  • Experience processing SARs and using electronic redaction systems.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT systems.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths., * Information Governance or Data Protection: 3 years (preferred)
  • Data Protection legislation & Freedom of Information: 3 years (preferred)
  • Processing SARs and using electronic redaction systems: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths. (preferred)
  • Driving Licence (preferred)

Hours & Pay:

  • Monday to Friday - hours to be discussed at interview stage.
  • £13.69 per hour
  • Weekly pay via the agency!
