Job description
We are looking for a Senior ICT Support Analyst to join our small, but highly talented and growing ICT team to provide leadership, technical direction and to play a key role in the delivery, development, and security of our ICT infrastructure. The successful candidate will
- Lead the management, maintenance, and development of ICT infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud services, SharePoint and end-user devices
- Ensure the security, resilience, and performance of all systems, supporting over 1,200 endpoints and critical services
- Deliver and support complex ICT projects aligned to organisational and national priorities
- Provide expert technical leadership and third-line support across a wide range of technologies
- Support the development of ICT Support Analysts within the team
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies, and documentation
- Work closely with internal teams, NHS Scotland partners, and third-party suppliers
- Lead on research, evaluation, and implementation of emerging technologies
- Support ICT governance including disaster recovery, business continuity, and security compliance
- Contribute to ICT strategy, service improvement, and operational planning, Although HIS staff are currently working in a hybrid manner between home and office, as this is a Senior ICT Support Analyst role there is a requirement to attend our offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh and our data centre in Livingston.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Supervising experience?, * An experienced ICT professional with strong technical expertise and leadership skills, able to work effectively in a fast-paced, complex environment.
- Degree in an ICT-related discipline or equivalent experience
- Extensive experience supporting enterprise ICT infrastructure and services
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, SharePoint, cloud and security technologies
- Experience of managing ICT incidents, systems, and infrastructure at scale
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
- Experience in staff supervision, mentoring, or team leadership
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Microsoft certifications or willingness to work towards them
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Ability to translate complex technical issues into clear business solutions
- A proactive and innovative mindset
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, secure ICT services
