Job description
· Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure in AWS environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
· Deploy, manage, and optimize containerized applications using Kubernetes and Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS).
· Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
· Develop, enhance, and support CI/CD pipelines to automate application and infrastructure deployments.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile development environments to deliver cloud-native solutions.
· Support emerging technologies, including AI/ML platforms and cloud-based data processing capabilities.
· Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to increase platform reliability and operational efficiency.
· Automate routine operational tasks and infrastructure management processes.
· Ensure cloud environments adhere to security, compliance, and governance requirements, including NIST 800-53 and FISMA standards.
· Participate in architecture reviews and contribute to long-term cloud strategy and modernization initiatives.
· Maintain documentation, operational procedures, and technical standards.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Terraform?, The ideal candidate will have strong experience with AWS cloud services, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD automation, and security best practices. This position requires collaboration across engineering, operations, security, and application development teams to deliver resilient and compliant cloud solutions, · Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
· Experience designing and supporting AWS-based cloud infrastructure.
· Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms.
· Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or similar automation tools.
· Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
· Knowledge of cloud security principles, identity and access management, and infrastructure monitoring.
· Experience working in Agile environments and using project management and collaboration tools.
· Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting AWS GovCloud environments.
- Knowledge of NIST 800-53 controls, FISMA requirements, and compliance-focused cloud operations.
- Experience supporting AI/ML infrastructure, platforms, or cloud-native data services.
- Experience with GitLab, GitLab CI/CD, and Jira.
- AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or DevOps Engineer.
- Experience supporting highly regulated industries, including financial services, government, or public sector organizations.
- Experience contributing to cloud architecture and modernization initiatives., * Due to the government nature of this project, US Citizenship is required, do you meet this requirement?
- Are you eligible to obtain a Public Trust Clearance?
- Are you familiar with NIST 800-53 controls and FISMA compliance framework?
- Do you have hands-on experience in an AWS Gov Cloud environment?
- Have you built and maintained infrastructure as code using Terraform and GitLab CI/CD pipelines?
- Have you deployed and managed containerized applications using Amazon EKS and Kubernetes?
- Are you currently in the DMV region and can work onsite in Washington D.C. ?
