Job description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced WebFOCUS Developer to design, develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Information Builders WebFOCUS, report development, HTML-based user interfaces, and data analysis. This role involves working with business and technical teams to analyze reporting requirements, develop new reports, enhance existing applications, and provide production support., Analyze existing reports to understand report structure, data sources, and business requirements.

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy WebFOCUS reports and reporting applications.
  • Maintain and enhance existing reports while developing new reporting solutions.
  • Create and support HTML-based user interfaces within the WebFOCUS environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to reporting applications.
  • Analyze user requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with application teams, business users, and technical stakeholders.
  • Identify, document, and resolve system defects.
  • Participate in design, prototyping, documentation, and testing activities.
  • Attend regular project and team meetings and provide status updates.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with Information Builders WebFOCUS report development.
  • Experience creating reports in GUI and source code environments.
  • Strong HTML, JavaScript, and CSS development skills.
  • Experience with dynamic parameter-driven reporting solutions.
  • User Interface (UI) design and development experience.
  • Business and Systems Analysis experience.
  • Strong report design and development skills.
  • Experience working with databases such as DB2, SQL Server, Sybase, and Mainframe data sources.
  • Strong troubleshooting and production support experience., * Proven expertise with WebFOCUS 8 and related reporting technologies.
  • Understanding of output formats including PDF, Excel, HTML, AHTML, and Word.
  • Ability to compare project deliverables against established standards and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills., * Experience mentoring or training users and technical teams.
  • Ability to identify process improvements and recommend best practices.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise reporting environments.
