Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Inventory Control Operator to join our dynamic logistics team. This role is essential for maintaining precise inventory levels, ensuring efficient warehouse distribution, and supporting overall warehouse management operations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with inventory management systems, heavy equipment operation, and materials handling. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to streamlined order fulfillment, shipping and receiving processes, and warehouse safety compliance. Candidates with a background in warehouse supervisor roles and proficiency in warehouse management systems are encouraged to apply., * Manage inventory control processes using advanced warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 platforms to ensure accurate stock levels.

  • Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely and efficiently to load, unload, and move materials.
  • Conduct regular stock audits, cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Support shipping and receiving functions by preparing shipments, verifying orders through RF scanners, and ensuring proper packaging.
  • Assist in order picking, packing, and fulfillment activities with attention to detail for timely delivery.
  • Implement proper stocking procedures while adhering to OSHA safety standards and mechanical knowledge requirements.
  • Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize warehouse distribution workflows and improve operational efficiency.
  • Handle materials handling tasks including heavy lifting, load & unload operations, and construction-related equipment usage.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, stock movements, and equipment maintenance logs.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to warehouse management practices and safety protocols.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Reach truck?, * Proven experience in inventory management within a warehouse or manufacturing environment.

  • Demonstrated proficiency operating reach trucks, cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes including shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, picking & packing.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, AS400 platforms, and inventory control software.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling tools.
  • Prior experience as a warehouse supervisor or in a supervisory role is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards applicable to warehouse operations.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during stock handling tasks.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
