Job description
We are seeking a Windows & VMware Systems Architect to support a highly classified defense program within a secure software development environment. This senior-level technical leadership role will serve as a lead architect and subject matter expert responsible for the design, administration, and optimization of virtualization, storage, and Windows-based infrastructure supporting mission-critical systems., * Perform administration and architectural support of virtualization and storage platforms supporting classified environments.
- Lead technical efforts and provide subject matter expertise across virtualization, storage, Windows infrastructure, and related technologies.
- Manage and support hypervisors, storage systems, operating system updates, patching activities, and infrastructure administration.
- Provide advanced technical support for complex issues involving software tools, applications, databases, system access, and infrastructure services.
- Maintain reliable operation of multi-user computing environments through collaboration with network engineers, software developers, systems engineers, desktop support personnel, project managers, and customer stakeholders.
- Administer backup and recovery services, file systems, storage allocation, and antivirus protection.
- Ensure compliance with all cybersecurity, information assurance, and classified systems security requirements.
- Maintain security auditing, logging, and monitoring capabilities as directed by Information Systems Security leadership.
- Independently evaluate technical challenges and develop effective solutions with minimal supervision.
- Support highly diverse technical initiatives while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Requirements
Do you have experience in System design for system development?, * Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of related experience OR Master's degree with 9+ years of related experience.
- Additional years of directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree.
- Active DoD Secret security clearance required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance and Special Access Program (SAP/SAR) access.
- Current IAT Level II certification such as Security+ CE or higher.
- Experience architecting and supporting enterprise virtualization and storage solutions.
- Strong experience administering Windows-based enterprise infrastructure.
- Experience supporting highly secure or classified computing environments.
- Ability to work onsite full-time in Roy, Utah., * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Current DoD Top Secret or Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
- Experience supporting containerized environments.
- Experience supporting software development or systems engineering environments.
- Knowledge of DCSA, ICD 503, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, JSIG, or related security frameworks.
- VMware experience and certifications, including vCenter and ESXi 6.5+ administration.
- Experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) technologies such as Horizon and Hyper-V.
- Expert knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP, RADIUS, certificate authorities, and Windows domain architecture.
- Experience supporting SAN storage platforms including NetApp ONTAP, E-Series, and similar enterprise solutions.
- Experience with backup and recovery platforms such as Cohesity and PPDM.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and technical leadership skills.
