Job description

As a Desktop Support Technician, you will be essential in providing technical support and troubleshooting software issues for our organization. Reporting to the IT Manager, your role involves managing computer systems and ensuring seamless desktop support for users. With core skills in computer management and IT support, you will assist with networking and VPN configurations. Your expertise in Microsoft Office and customer service will enhance user satisfaction, while your knowledge of CompTIA A+ and SCCM will ensure efficient operations. Requirements

Do you have experience in iOS?, Deskside Support Tech II Role Support location: 1 Research Circle, Bldg, #K1, Niskayuna, NY 12309. Hybrid role: M-F 8AM-5PM (work from home Mondays and Fridays; onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays). No on-call. Top 3 required skills: Deskside IT Support, white glove customer service & Troubleshooting Dell & Mac laptops and iOS & Android mobile phones. Experience: 3 years min. A+ certification and/or networking experience is a plus. Ability to setup, configure and add all hardware. Assure that all tickets requiring follow up work and/or calls receive appropriate attention. Comfortable with face-to-face interactions as will be required to provide technical support to end users in-person at the customer's site. Assist Site Leader in the execution of established processes and escalations. Experience working in enterprise environment. Be physically able to lift up to 40lbs, bend, crawl, and Client in order to support customer computer systems

Breakdown, move and setup end users PCs and peripherals. Maintain, analyze, and troubleshoot, software and computer peripherals. Ability to setup, configure and add all hardware. Assure that all tickets requiring follow up work and/or calls receive appropriate attention. Comfortable with face-to-face interactions as will be required to provide technical support to end users in-person at the customer's site. Back up and burn end user data. Experience working in enterprise environment. Be physically able to lift up to 40lbs, bend, crawl, and Client in order to support customer computer systems. Be able to be on feet and physically walk potentially a good portion of the day while visiting customers work area, * Desktop support: 2 years (Required)
