Job description
The eCommerce Analyst is a hands-on operator responsible for the day-to-day performance of Versare's Commerce storefronts. Reporting directly to the Director of eCommerce, Amazon, and Marketplaces, this person owns the execution layer of the digital channel: product catalog management, pricing and promotional updates, landing page builds, performance reporting, and site quality for B2C Versare.com and Everblocksystems.com and B2B ScreenFlex.com and VersareFlooring.com. A third-party Commerce (formerly BigCommerce) services partner handles all technical development work; the Analyst serves as the internal business-side point of contact for that team - translating business requirements into clear project briefs, reviewing completed work, and keeping deliverables on schedule. Success in year one means a cleaner, better-performing site with measurable improvements in conversion and operational efficiency., * Manages product catalog entries in Commerce, including new item setup, attribute population, category assignments, and ongoing content accuracy audits
- Executes pricing updates and promotional configurations within the platform, ensuring accuracy and proper scheduling across active campaigns
- Builds and maintains landing pages using Commerce's native page-building tools, updating copy, imagery, and layout as directed by the Director
- Identifies and flags site issues, content gaps, broken product data, or UX friction points, and routes them to the appropriate resource for resolution
- Maintains site hygiene by conducting routine quality checks on product pages, navigation, and checkout flows
Performance Tracking and Reporting
- Monitors key site performance metrics - including traffic, conversion rate, bounce rate, and revenue by category - using Google Analytics 4 and platform-native reporting
- Produces regular performance reports for the Director, summarizing trends, flagging anomalies, and providing context for observed changes
- Supports A/B testing and conversion rate optimization efforts as directed, documenting test setups, results, and learnings
Vendor Coordination
- Serves as the internal point of contact for the third-party Commerce services partner and a range of technology vendors, communicating business requirements clearly and in writing, reviewing delivered work against specifications, and tracking open project items to completion
- Supports creation and execution of product roadmap in partnership with Director
- Maintains a running log of enhancement requests and bug reports, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks in the vendor relationship
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partners with internal colleagues in sales, marketing, and operations to support eCommerce execution for specific end markets or customer segments - translating their needs into actionable site updates
- Coordinates content, product, and promotional information across departments to ensure the site reflects current product availability, pricing, and positioning
Requirements
Do you have experience in Writing skills?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * 1-3 years of professional experience in B2B and/or B2C eCommerce operations, digital merchandising, or a closely related function
- Hands-on experience working within an enterprise or mid-market eCommerce platform; Commerce experience is preferred, though candidates with meaningful Shopify or comparable platform experience will be considered
- Working proficiency with Google Analytics or GA4, including the ability to pull standard reports, interpret traffic and conversion data, and build or modify basic dashboards
- Demonstrated ability to manage product data, pricing, and content accurately at scale - errors in this work have direct business consequences, and attention to detail is non-negotiable
- Clear written communication skills, with the ability to convey business requirements to an external technical team and to summarize performance data for a non-technical internal audience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management, reporting, and basic analysis tasks
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Digital Technology, or a related field - or equivalent professional experience that demonstrates the same capabilities, * Direct, hands-on experience with Commerce specifically (administrative access, catalog management, page builder)
- Prior exposure to B2B eCommerce workflows, including experience with account-based pricing, dealer/distributor portals, or B2B buyer personas
- Familiarity with foundational SEO principles as applied to product page titles, meta descriptions, and URL structure
- Experience using project management or ticketing tools - Asana, Jira, Wrike, or similar - to coordinate work with external vendors and/or internal teams
- Exposure to conversion rate optimization (CRO) concepts and a basic understanding of A/B testing methodology, even if in a supporting role
- Experience or interest in leveraging AI tools for support on research, efficiency, analytics and more
