Senior Software Developer Engineer - Hybrid

InSequence is seeking a Senior Software Developer Engineer to join our growing software development team. This individual will work alongside a team of engineers to design, develop, test, implement, and maintain mission-critical applications supporting our customers and internal initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with strong full-stack development experience who can contribute throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, architecture and design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance. This role requires technical leadership, independent problem solving, and the ability to mentor junior team members while helping drive engineering best practices across the organization.

Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph, or the ability to obtain one.

Duties Include:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications and services.
• Participate in architectural discussions and technical solution design.
• Develop and maintain RESTful and/or SOAP-based services and APIs.
• Write high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Create and maintain automated unit, integration, and regression tests.
• Work within modern CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues across multiple environments.
• Collaborate with engineers, stakeholders, and customers to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and estimation.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
• Contribute to software engineering standards, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Do you have experience in Web services design?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Strong proficiency with JavaScript and TypeScript.

• Experience developing modern web applications using React.js.
• Experience developing backend services using Node.js.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Experience utilizing Git-based source control systems.
• Experience working within CI/CD environments.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications:

Option 1

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical field and 6+ years of relevant software development experience

Option 2

• 10+ years of relevant professional IT/software engineering experience in lieu of a degree, * Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
• Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 certification
• Experience supporting Federal Government or Department of Defense environments

ADA Notations:

• Regular communication (hearing/speaking).
• Noise conditions range from very quiet to very noisy.
• Prolonged use of computer (typing/keyboarding).

Salary Range:

• The final salary can be influenced by a variety of factors, such as Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, educational background, and certifications.
