Job description
We are leading a major initiative to create an Immutable Audit Trail (IAT) across our platform using Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT). This role is not focused on crypto, NFTs, or public blockchain applications. The objective is to design and implement a private or consortium blockchain that acts as a trusted source of truth for enterprise data, ensuring records remain secure, verifiable, and tamper-proof.
You will be responsible for building the architecture that supports this transition from traditional database storage to immutable ledger-based verification. This includes smart contract design, consensus models, node integration, and ensuring the blockchain layer works effectively with our wider backend systems.
We are looking for someone who understands enterprise blockchain architecture and can apply distributed ledger principles in a practical, scalable way., Distributed Ledger Architecture:
- Design and maintain private or consortium blockchain infrastructure
- Build secure ledger architecture for enterprise data integrity
- Support the transition from standard databases to immutable audit trail systems
- Ensure records written to the ledger remain verifiable and tamper-resistant
Smart Contracts & Governance:
- Develop smart contract logic for validation and compliance workflows
- Design consensus mechanisms that support reliability and operational efficiency
- Support governance models for permissioned blockchain systems
- Improve transaction integrity across distributed environments
Platform Integration:
- Integrate blockchain nodes with backend services and platform workflows
- Ensure ledger activity supports wider system operations and audit visibility
- Work closely with backend and infrastructure teams on technical design
- Improve reliability across distributed environments and ledger interactions
Security & Compliance:
- Strengthen trust models across enterprise data flows
- Support verification systems that improve auditability and compliance
- Contribute to long-term decisions around secure record management
- Help define scalable governance for blockchain-backed enterprise systems
Requirements
Do you have experience in Software development?, As we scale, we are looking for an experienced and driven individual to help build secure, enterprise-grade infrastructure that supports trust, transparency, and long-term data integrity across our platform., * Strong experience with blockchain architecture and distributed ledger systems
- Experience designing private or permissioned blockchain environments
- Smart contract development experience
- Strong understanding of consensus mechanisms and node architecture
- Experience integrating blockchain systems with backend applications
- Strong understanding of security, data integrity, and enterprise system design
- Strong problem-solving and architectural decision-making skills
Desirable:
- Experience with Hyperledger Fabric, Quorum, Polygon Edge, or similar platforms
- Exposure to enterprise Ethereum environments
- Knowledge of audit trail systems and compliance-driven architecture
- Familiarity with Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZKP) or advanced cryptographic validation
- Experience working in regulated or high-integrity data environments
- Understanding of GS1 standards, EPCIS, or traceability-focused systems
Key Attributes:
- Strong systems-thinking and architectural mindset
- Comfortable solving complex technical challenges across multiple layers
- Able to balance security, scalability, and operational practicality
- Strong collaboration skills across engineering and infrastructure teams
- Focused on building reliable long-term solutions rather than short-term fixes
Success Criteria:
- Successful implementation of a secure immutable audit trail
- Reliable integration between blockchain systems and platform services
- Strong verification and trust across enterprise data workflows
- Improved auditability and confidence in stored records
- Scalable ledger architecture supporting future platform growth, This role is ideal for someone who understands how blockchain can be applied beyond cryptocurrency and used to solve real enterprise challenges around trust, verification, and data integrity.
Benefits & conditions
You will play a key role in building the foundation for a secure, verifiable platform where critical records remain accurate, traceable, and trusted over time.
