Job description

We have an opportunity for an Senior IT End User Computing Engineer to join their team of staff in the IT department based in our offices in Hillington, Glasgow.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a shift rotation: 8-4, 9-5, 10-6.

Duties of this role include:

  • Undertake typical break fix and support activities on all EUC related infrastructure, both on-site and remotely, as required including general maintenance and system upgrades
  • Support the delivery of services within agreed timescales and in accordance with SLAs
  • Deliver the highest levels of support to Circle Health Group's central infrastructure and other business critical systems
  • Support the delivery of major EUC projects and change programmes
  • Assist in the design, development and implementation of IT EUC infrastructure and services
  • Manage the installation, support and maintenance of production systems to completion
  • Take ownership of incidents ensuring coordination of resolving parties, effective communication to stakeholders and where needed, post incident review
  • Actively participate in escalations to and from the wider IT Service Delivery team as required
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to more junior members of the IT EUC and Service Desk teams

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows?, * Good (5+ years) experience in an end user computing, desktop support or similar role within a medium/large organisation (~£500M+ annual revenue, 6,000+ end-users, 40+ different locations)

  • Good (5+ years) experience in EUC technologies such as, group policy management, Windows 7/10, Physical hardware, Active Directory, Office 365, Programming/Scripting, Mobile Device Management, Desktop/Application virtualisation, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN & Windows networking (DHCP & DNC)
  • Good (3+ years) experience in image design and deployment technologies
  • Good (3+ years) experience in vendor patching and patching technologies (Microsoft, 3rd party)
  • Some (1+ years) experience in platform architectural design
