Job description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic IT leader to oversee and develop technology services across a multi-site educational organisation. This is a senior leadership position responsible for ensuring the delivery of secure, reliable, and high-performing IT systems that support both staff and learners.

The successful candidate will lead the organisation's IT operations, infrastructure, technical support services, and future technology development. You will play a key role in driving digital transformation, enhancing service delivery, and ensuring technology solutions continue to meet the evolving needs of the organisation.

This role also offers the opportunity to lead significant technology projects, including large-scale systems integration and organisational change initiatives.

Travel between sites will be required, and participation in an out-of-hours support rota may occasionally be necessary., * Lead and manage all IT services across multiple sites.

  • Oversee network infrastructure, telecommunications, servers, systems, and technical support functions.
  • Ensure the security, availability, and integrity of all organisational data and IT systems.
  • Develop and maintain robust business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a dedicated IT support team.
  • Deliver a high-quality customer-focused IT service to staff and learners.
  • Lead technology projects from planning through to successful implementation.
  • Manage IT budgets and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
  • Work closely with senior leaders and stakeholders to maximise the value of technology across the organisation.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection legislation, software licensing requirements, and information security standards.
  • Support major organisational projects, including system migrations, integrations, and transformation programmes.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous service improvement.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in System administration?, * Proven experience managing IT services within a complex organisation.

  • Strong technical knowledge of networks, infrastructure, systems administration, and IT operations.
  • Experience leading and developing technical teams.
  • Demonstrable experience managing IT budgets and resources.
  • Successful track record of delivering IT projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong understanding of information security, cyber security, and data protection requirements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Relevant professional IT qualification at Level 3 or above.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.

Desirable

  • Management qualification.
  • Project management qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience supporting multi-site operations.
  • Experience managing large-scale systems integration or organisational change projects., You will be a proactive and forward-thinking IT professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional technology services. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, be comfortable managing multiple priorities, and have the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
