Manager, AI Solution Architect

As a practitioner in AI&D, you are responsible for delivering AI Solution Architecture projects. You are encouraged to devise innovative solutions to help our clients address their biggest data challenges including developing modern analytics platforms.

We are seeking a talented and experienced AI/GenAI Architect to join our team. In this role, you will lead the delivery of GenAI projects from conception to production and provide technical pre-sales support for new opportunities. You will work closely with clients, project managers, solution architects, engineers and data scientists to ensure project goals are met on time, on budget, and to the highest standard.

In your role, you will have responsibility for deliverable and client stakeholder relationships and will be delivering solutions for our clients using agile methodologies. You will often be working in multi-disciplinary teams across a range of industries, subject matters and locations.

As a Senior Manager, you will play a critical role in leading, defining, designing, and optimising the end-to-end functional data journey for our diverse portfolio of clients' functions. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, translating business vision and requirements into robust, scalable, and functionally sound data and technology solutions.

Your role could include and may need you to:

• Lead the delivery of generative AI projects especially from an architecture perspective from inception to production, ensuring all project goals are met on time, on budget, and to the highest standard.
• Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and objectives and translate these into actionable project plans and roadmaps.
• Collaborate with project managers, solution architects, engineers, and data scientists to ensure project tasks are being executed and delivered on time and within budget.
• Review and provide feedback on project deliverables to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, and escalate issues as needed to ensure project success.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation to ensure project progress is understood and milestones are achieved.
• Provide technical pre-sales support, including participating in client meetings, preparing technical proposals, and presenting solutions to clients.
• Stay up to date with the latest generative AI technologies, trends, and best practices.

Candidates must have experience in AI/ML Engineering involving some or all the following areas:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience leading the delivery of both generative & traditional AI projects across the end-to-end SDLC process.
• Proven experience in leading development teams across different geographical locations using offshore or near-shore delivery models.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross- functional teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in object orientated programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Contributing to the solution architecture of an enterprise data lake to cater to a client's data storage needs for structured and unstructured data, to enable analytics across global clients using modern data tools like MS Fabric, Databricks, or similar
• Designing, architecting and implementing a real-time data solution using streaming ingestion and delivering real time analytics, to help our clients respond to customer behaviour as it happens using Confluent, Apache Kafka, Spark, Flink or similar
• Ability to conduct a full technical assessment of existing platform as-is architecture and identify the to-be landscape
• Providing subject matter expertise and collaborating closely with data engineers to translate architectural designs into efficient and maintainable data pipelines and solutions on cloud data platforms using native and open-source technologies.
• Proven experience working in agile delivery teams with DevOps ways of working to continuously deliver iterative deployments with experience in using Git, Jira, Confluence, or similar
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with key technology vendors through Community of Practices, staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies and bringing the learnings back into both Crafts and OU capability.
• Develop and iterate new and/or existing thought leadership content around data design, architecture and engineering like collateral and playbooks on KX, improving our artefacts and strategies.
• Knowledge of generative AI architectural patterns including RAG & fine tuning.
• Experience training & deploying machine learning models using a range of techniques (e.g. Classification, Regression, Neural Networks, etc).
• Experience with developing and deploying applications in cloud environments, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Understanding of how to design and implement RESTful APIs for generative AI applications.
• Familiarity with web development technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
• Proficiency in database management systems and SQL.
• Experience developing ETL pipelines using distributed computing and parallel processing frameworks, such as Spark.
• Knowledge of Data Architecture & Data Modelling techniques.
• Experience working with modern data & AI platforms such as Databricks, Dataiku, DataRobot, etc.
• Knowledge of containerization platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with software development tools, such as JIRA, Confluence, and Git.
