The IT Support Engineer will provide dedicated onsite support at a Houston-based client location, serving as the primary technical resource for end-user support, workstation troubleshooting, and daily IT operations., * Provide onsite desktop and end-user support across Windows and macOS environments, including break/fix, peripherals, printing, AV/conferencing basics, and workstation setup
- Own onsite incident triage and resolution; document work thoroughly in the ticketing system
- Coordinate and escalate issues to remote teams when elevated access or specialized expertise is required (network, servers, firewalls, Microsoft 365/Azure, cybersecurity)
- Support identity and access management tasks such as account provisioning, MFA, password resets, and group membership changes
- Deliver a high-touch customer experience through clear communication, expectation-setting, and follow-up
- Identify recurring issues and contribute to root-cause analysis and long-term remediation
- Maintain a professional onsite presence and build strong rapport with end users and stakeholders
Requirements
Do you have experience in macOS administration?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, The ideal candidate is a hands-on infrastructure support professional who is comfortable working onsite, confident troubleshooting across networking and identity systems, and capable of supporting users in a high-touch environment. They bring strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to operate independently while collaborating with remote engineering teams., Required
- 3-5 years of experience in desktop support, helpdesk, or field support
- Experience supporting business users onsite, including device deployment, onboarding/offboarding, and vendor or remote-team coordination
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills across diverse IT environments
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to support users in person, by phone, and via remote tools
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto or Cloudflare firewalls
- Experience with Aruba networking equipment (switching and/or wireless)
- Experience with Dell, Aruba, or Cisco switching/routing in production environments
- Experience using SolarWinds or similar enterprise monitoring platforms
- Experience supporting VMware ESXi/vSphere
- Experience administering Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, licensing)
- Experience with Azure/Entra ID (MFA, conditional access, identity lifecycle)
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows OS, networking, identity, and endpoint systems
- Ability to work 100% onsite in a customer-facing environment
Preferred
- Experience with Cohesity, Veeam, or other enterprise backup platforms
- Experience with ConnectWise or other MSP ticketing systems
- Experience in an MSP or multi-client environment
- PowerShell scripting or automation experience
- Certifications such as Network+, Security+, CCNA, Azure Administrator, VMware VCP
- Experience with endpoint management tools (Intune, Workspace ONE, JAMF, etc.)
- Exposure to SIEM, EDR, or cybersecurity tools, * Do you have hands-on experience configuring or supporting Palo Alto or Cloudflare firewalls?
- Have you worked directly with Aruba networking equipment (switching or wireless)?
- Do you have experience administering Microsoft 365 and Azure/Entra ID?
- Have you worked in an MSP or multi-client environment?
