Revida Water is seeking a Senior Project Engineer - Water Reuse Systems based in the Stockton / Tracy, CA area to help execute customer projects and bring new systems to life.
This is a highly hands-on role focused on turning engineering concepts into operating systems. You will be one of our first five engineers, reporting directly to the CEO, with real ownership and visibility from day one. Working closely with the CEO, fabrication team, operators, and remote engineering resources, you will help build, commission, and optimize advanced water reuse systems.
Approximately 50% of the role will focus on current customer projects, 25% on startup and field support, and 25% on R&D and next-generation technologies. The role includes periodic travel to customer sites, primarily in Northern California (estimated 10-20%).
What You'll DoProject Execution & Build Support (~50%)
- Convert engineering concepts into field-ready systems
- Review PFDs, P&IDs, BOMs, and fabrication drawings
- Support equipment selection and vendor coordination
- Collaborate with fabrication personnel to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable
- Assist with purchasing, project documentation, and scheduling
System Startup & Commissioning (~25%)
- Support installation and startup of new systems
- Troubleshoot pumps, valves, blowers, sensors, instrumentation, and VFDs
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements
- Develop SOPs and commissioning procedures
Operations, R&D, & Continuous Improvement (~25%)
- Work with operators to maintain system health and optimize performance
- Analyze operational data and field observations
- Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
- Contribute to future product development and R&D efforts
Requirements
Do you have experience in Troubleshooting schematics?, * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent hands-on engineering experience
- 5-10 years of experience in industrial systems, water/wastewater, food processing, HVAC, manufacturing, process equipment, or similar industries
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving ability
- Ability to read P&IDs, engineering drawings, and schematics
- Familiarity with pumps, blowers, piping systems, tanks, valves, and instrumentation
- Basic understanding of PLCs, 4-20 mA signals, relays, and VFDs
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Must be authorized to work in the United States; we are unable to sponsor work visas now or in the future
- Willingness to work on-site in the Stockton / Tracy, CA area and travel to customer sites as needed
Preferred
- Experience with water or wastewater treatment systems
- Experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks
- Familiarity with MBR, MBBR, DAF, membranes, and filtration systems
- Experience supporting equipment startup or commissioning
- Field troubleshooting experience

Compensation & Equal Opportunity
The salary range for this position is $100,000-$145,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
