Job description
We are seeking an IT professional to assist with day-to-day IT operations, establishing and maintaining Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) handling, and preparation efforts related to Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2 compliance.
This role will support a small business environment by helping improve cybersecurity practices, implement and maintain secure IT systems, assist with documentation and policy enforcement, and directly and indirectly provide general IT support for approximately 40 employees., CMMC & Compliance Support
- Lead implementation and maintenance of CMMC Level 2 and NIST SP 800-171 security requirements
- Orchestrate handling and protection of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)
- Organize and maintain compliance documentation, policies, procedures, and evidence
- Assist with System Security Plan (SSP) and Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M) tracking
- Perform internal audits, gap remediation, and compliance readiness activities
- Coordinate with internal leadership and external IT/security vendors as needed
IT Infrastructure & Security
- Provide / support the provision of day-to-day IT support for approximately 40 employees
- Oversee IT infrastructure including:
- Office Tools (e.g. Microsoft Office 365)
- Cloud hosting (e.g.Azure, AWS, Intune)
- Exchange Online
- Cloud deployment (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps Practices
- Non-Microsoft Operating Systems and Servers
IT Administration Roles
- User account management, permissions, MFA, and endpoint security
- Computer setup (new employees and new computers when acquired), device compliance, patching, and secure configurations
- Monitor and improve cybersecurity controls and endpoint protection
- Maintain secure file storage and data handling practices
User Support & Training
- Assist employees with IT-related issues and troubleshooting
- Lead enhancements for implementation of and enforcement of company IT and data policies
- Help educate users on cybersecurity awareness and compliance best practices
- Assist with onboarding/offboarding processes
Requirements
Do you have experience in Staff training?, The ideal candidate should have hands-on IT experience, familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure and AWS environments, and a working understanding of CMMC Level 2, NIST 800-171, and cybersecurity best practices., * 10+ years of IT experience including support, systems administration, and cybersecurity experience
- Familiarity with:
- CMMC Level 2
- NIST SP 800-171
- Microsoft GCC High or equivalent commercial environments
- Cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines
- Endpoint management and security tools
- Incident response
- Experience supporting small business IT environments
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Certifications
- CompTIA Security+
- Microsoft Certifications
- Certified CMMC Professional (CCP)
- CISSP or similar cybersecurity certifications
