Job description

ECI designs, develops and manufactures state-of-the-art passive magnetic components for mission-critical power applications that must perform in the harshest environments. Focused on the aerospace and defense markets, our customer base extends into a wide array of markets, including industrial, communication, medical and marine. Our engineers are recognized experts and are unrivalled in their command of the esoteric and challenging field of magnetics. We work directly with customers to solve tough, unorthodox engineering challenges through expertise and creativity., The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of custom magnetic components, including transformers, inductors, planar magnetics, high-voltage assemblies, and EMI filters, tailored to customer specific performance requirements. The role focuses on high-frequency switching power magnetics across all major power conversion topologies. Our products support mission-critical applications in Defense, Aerospace, Industrial, and Commercial markets.

What You'll Do

  • Lead design of transformers, inductors, planar magnetics, chokes, EMI filters, and high-voltage magnetic assemblies
  • Own designs from customer requirements through validation and production
  • Interface directly with defense/aerospace customers and suppliers
  • Develop and execute prototype testing and performance validation
  • Apply SPICE, 3D CAD, and electromagnetic FEA tools

Requirements

Do you have experience in Electrical engineering training?, * Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (or related field)

  • Minimum 5 years hands-on experience with magnetic component design and/or SMPS circuits
  • Strong understanding of high-frequency magnetics, materials, and loss mechanisms
  • Defense, aerospace, or manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, demonstrate empowerment, and take accountability for results.
