Job description
- Analyzes, designs, codes, tests, and implements complex programs; develops appropriate programs and systems documentation according to established standard systems delivery methodology. Adheres to all organizational and IT policies and process for software development and project management.
- Develops technical design specifications based on functional requirements; develops and maintains mainframe and/or client server applications.
- Builds and maintains systems with current and emerging technologies while leveraging and expanding system capabilities. Conducts decision support systems tests, monitors test results, identifies appropriate issues, and takes corrective action.
- Provides creative solutions to moderately complex, cross platform technical problems, partnering with customers to establish requirement and closing the gaps identified in the project.
- Provides onsite and offsite support for the processing cycles of production systems.
- Participates in system development planning and monitoring; enhances existing systems; actively participates in structured walkthroughs and technical reviews.
- Provides technical direction and coaching to team members from cross geographic locations in application development activities.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the FINEOS product suite (technical and functional).
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Design, develop, test, deploy changes modules and applications, focusing on the FINEOS platform.
- Troubleshoot and fix issues on the FINEOS platform, leveraging your knowledge to identify root causes.

Requirements
Do you have experience in Software engineering?, Working knowledge of the FINEOS platform is REQUIRED, enabling you to support and enhance its capabilities. Key skills required for this role include proficiency in programming languages (such as Java, C++, Cobol, or similar), problem-solving abilities, familiarity with agile methodologies, and a strong commitment to continuous learning and development., * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or a directly related field.
- Two+ years of software development or related IT experience.
- Working knowledge of FINEOS is a MUST.
- Proven ability in one or more programming languages (Java, C#, HTML, CSS, JS, Angular, React) and development tools, or other relevant application development tools.
- Proven ability of structure analysis and technical design techniques, database and file access methods.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate's geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
