Job description
We are seeking a technically strong and personable IT Infrastructure Manager to take ownership of our internal IT environment. This is a broad, hands-on role where you will act as the go-to expert for all IT-related matters across the business. From managing cloud services and network infrastructure to delivering day-to-day technical support, you will play a critical role in ensuring our systems remain secure, reliable, and fit for purpose., Hardware & Asset Management
- Manage the end-to-end procurement of IT equipment including laptops, desktops, peripherals, and mobile devices
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring cost-effective purchasing
- Maintain an accurate asset register and oversee hardware lifecycle management
- Configure and deploy devices, ensuring new starters are fully set up from day one
- Manage offboarding processes, including device recovery and data security
Technical Support
- Act as the primary point of contact for all IT support queries across the business
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues across Windows and Mac environments
- Manage and prioritise support requests, ensuring timely resolution and excellent user experience
- Develop user guides and documentation to support self-service and reduce recurring issues
Microsoft 365 & Cloud Services
- Administer and optimise Microsoft 365 services including Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams
- Manage identity and access through Active Directory and Azure AD, including security policies and SSO
- Evaluate and manage third-party SaaS applications
Network & Infrastructure
- Maintain network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, and VPNs
- Manage firewall rules and ensure secure, reliable connectivity for all users
Security & Compliance
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity best practices across all systems
- Manage endpoint protection, anti-virus solutions, and email security platforms
- Support compliance with frameworks such as Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO 27001
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Lead IT projects including migrations, upgrades, and system implementations
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure service levels are met
- Contribute to IT budgeting and ensure value from technology investments
Requirements

- Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure environments
- Solid understanding of networking (firewalls, VPNs, switches)
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
Desirable
- Experience with security frameworks such as Cyber Essentials Plus or ISO 27001
- Familiarity with tools such as Mimecast
- Relevant certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, etc.)
