Job description

We are looking for a Senior IT Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on technical role for someone who is confident supporting business customers, managing Microsoft 365 environments and taking ownership of technical issues from investigation through to resolution., As a Senior IT Technician, you will support and administer customer environments across Microsoft 365, Windows, cloud services, endpoint management, networking and cyber security tooling.

A major part of this role will involve working with Microsoft products, so strong Microsoft 365 administration experience is essential. You should be comfortable working across Microsoft admin portals and supporting business users with day-to-day technical issues, security settings, access control and cloud services.

You will also support customer onboarding, helping new clients transition smoothly to Intouch Tech's managed service., * Provide senior-level technical support to business customers across Microsoft 365, Windows, devices, networks and cloud services.

  • Manage Microsoft 365 tenants, users, groups, licences, mailboxes, security settings and access controls.
  • Work across Microsoft 365 Admin Center, Exchange Admin Center, Teams Admin Center, SharePoint Admin Center and Entra ID.
  • Support password resets, MFA, conditional access, joiner / mover / leaver processes and general user administration.
  • Troubleshoot Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint and Windows issues.
  • Assist with customer onboarding, discovery, documentation, tenant reviews and setup tasks.
  • Support endpoint security, device management, patching and monitoring processes.
  • Work with cyber security tools and help customers improve their security posture.
  • Escalate, document and resolve tickets in a professional and timely manner.
  • Liaise with third-party vendors where required.
  • Communicate clearly with customers, keeping them informed and setting realistic expectations.
  • Support internal process improvement, documentation and technical standards.

Requirements

Do you have experience in VPN?, * Strong experience in a senior IT support, systems administration or managed service provider role.

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Confident use of Microsoft admin portals and tenant management.
  • Experience with Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and Entra ID.
  • Strong Windows desktop and business IT support experience.
  • Good troubleshooting skills across users, devices, networks and cloud services.
  • Strong customer communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tickets and priorities.
  • Good documentation habits.
  • Professional, calm and methodical approach.
  • Willingness to work from the office 5 days per week.

Desirable skills

The following would be beneficial but are not essential:

  • Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager experience.
  • Microsoft Purview experience.
  • Microsoft 365 Lighthouse experience.
  • Microsoft Copilot administration, readiness or adoption experience.
  • Microsoft Defender or endpoint protection experience.
  • Cyber security knowledge, including MFA, conditional access, EDR, backup, phishing protection and security best practice.
  • Experience working in an MSP environment.
  • Experience with customer onboarding or technical implementation projects.
  • Networking knowledge, including firewalls, switches, Wi-Fi and VPNs.
  • Relevant Microsoft, cyber security or networking certifications.

We are looking for someone who is technically strong, commercially aware and good with customers.

The right person will be able to take ownership of problems, communicate clearly and work as part of a team that values reliable delivery. You do not need to know every platform listed, but you must be very confident with Microsoft products and willing to develop further across Intune, Purview, Lighthouse, Copilot and cyber security services., * Microsoft Administration: 3 years (required)
