Job description

  • Design, build, and operate a data center-scale logical model to evaluate future SSD product scenarios
  • Integrate workload data, telemetry, and benchmarks into performance, power, and cost projections
  • Model hyperscaler tradeoffs across compute, memory, storage, and interconnects to identify Micron differentiation
  • Analyze AI cloud architectures and quantify the impact of Micron component choices
  • Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to senior leadership

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 10+ years of experience in hyperscale data centers or large cloud environments
  • Hands-on software development experience in Python, C/C++, or similar languages
  • Strong understanding of data center system architecture including compute, memory, storage, power, and interconnects
  • Experience translating complex technical analysis into executive-level recommendations, * Master's degree or PhD in a relevant technical field
  • Experience building system- or data center-scale performance, power, or cost models using real data
  • Background in SSD or DRAM product engineering or performance analysis
  • Familiarity with simulators or system tools such as gem5, Simics, SST, QEMU, or PCIe subsystems
  • History of building internal tools adopted across teams or contributing publications or patents

Benefits & conditions

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$170,000.00 - $289,000.00 a year

Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
