Job description
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused System Support Engineer to join our team. Work Location: Hybrid - Primarily remote, with regular onsite client support across New Jersey (approximately 5+ onsite visits per month).
Travel: Reliable transportation required (own vehicle or ride service acceptable)
What You'll Do
As a System Support Engineer, you will support end users both onsite and remotely, assist with technical operations, and contribute to technology improvement initiatives. You will:
- Provide friendly and professional onsite desktop support to end users, along with our Experienced Onsite Engineer
- Assist remote technicians with onsite tasks (e.g., connecting hardware, following step-by-step instructions)
- Help with basic computer swaps and system upgrades (Windows 10/11)
- Conduct walkthroughs and assist in site surveys for network or equipment setup
- Perform light hardware tasks such as setting up printers, labeling devices, and plugging in phones
- Gather and communicate technical details clearly to the support team
- Create short visit summaries using provided templates
- Support internal technology improvement projects, including AI-powered workflows, process automation and operational efficiency initiatives, * Hands-on IT field experience with real client environments

Requirements
Do you have experience in Customer communication?, * Prior experience in a customer-facing role
- Current student or recent graduate in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Familiarity with basic IT concepts (training or coursework experience acceptable)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, courteous, and eager to learn in diverse work environments
- Reliable and detail-oriented; able to follow directions and document tasks accurately
- Comfortable learning new systems and tools on the job
- Ability to travel within NYC and Northern NJ 1-2 days per week
- Access to reliable transportation
